Activation Screen

hey everyone,

can anyone tell me how to get by the activation screen? i was wanting to use this second droid 1 wifi only. i have been starting to develop my own flavor of a rom and wanted to use this instead of my primary phone, i have been messing it up to many times and missing business calls.

should i just flash recovery and then a rom of my choice?
