Accumulation of Mystery Photos

When I go to my Media Gallery there are 54 photos, if you can call them that, that are labeled Cache, that are black with a horizontal straight line that sometimes breaks into a few sections...like a graph. When I first open it says Last month. A couple of weeks ago, I deleted them all, one by one, but they have reappeared. What are these linked to? It seems as if they are taking up unnecessary memory, and are a pain to delete.

Some app is using them most likely. You can put an empty file called .nomedia in that folder to keep them from showing up in your Gallery.

They are more than likely from an app that has those pictures as backgrounds. You can delete them but the app will reload them again and again. When it comes to pictures you can have several hundred and a ton of video and it really won't affect your SD memory much at all.
