About the Backlit keyboard

I've noticed that if you go to brightness settings and set it ALL the way down, the backlight for the keyboard goes away. Is this the reason why some people say the backlight doesn't work? Because it works when I need it to work, but I've noticed this quirk specifically.

I had the same experience with my phone. As soon as I moved the brightness toggle up and then back down keyboard backlight was enabled.
