A New Version of Amazon's Kindle App in the Works for Android Tablets

Amazon just issued a press release indicating they are bringing out a new Kindle app for Android. Amazon wants to bring their “Buy Once, Read Everywhere” philosophy to all the most popular devices and platforms. They further indicated that each version will be tailored to the platform it is running on. The press release also indicates they are making a version for Microsoft platform based tablets, but we won't hold that against them. :)

Kindle is a great app. I prefer the feel of a book though, but one thing that would make it better would be, if I could get text books on it for a fraction of the price.
