A little help

I just entered the droid world in November by getting the DX. I really love it but even in November I was excited for the rumored "Incredible HD" or any Evoish phone on Verizon. So now I really want the Thunderbolt. I'm wondering how much you guys think it would cost to switch over.

Well you would have to pay full retail price which would be a crap load, but you can sell your DX on ebay for a decent price

You wouldn't have to pay cancelation fees because you're not canceling your contract.

If your X is in a good condition you could probably get around $350 on ebay

Great! Could I hypothetically just trade for a Tbolt w/o a plan and then activate it? Or do I have to get the new phone through verizon? Sorry for all the stupid questions, I just don't know much about this stuff.

Anyone have a guess of how much the Tbolt will cost on something like swappa or ebay?

Full retail price for a new one, possibly more depending on how fast stuff sells out, for one off-contract. Look at the Kindle. People are still paying $10-$20 more per unit to get it on eBay rather than from Amazon direct -- BEFORE SHIPPING -- even though Amazon has had no problem filling orders.

Once again I'm sorry for asking stupid questions, but to clarify, it will probably cost like $750 from swappa/ebay?

If someone (and I have NO idea who would do this) gets it on-contract and uses another phone instead, then sells it, you might get lucky and get one for around $500 (rough estimate). Otherwise expect near-full-retail.
