Computers everywhere + Gorilla Glass looks promising. Hard to believe it's been around for a decade and is only just making it to electronics. Of course, cost is the main issue why the above scenario will only happen for the richest of people/companies.

Corning also conveniently fails to point out the societal problems that arise from this... people always connected to their friends, videos, and games through digital media, even when they shouldn't be. Ever see the movie "Children of Men" where the kid is so absorbed by his personal technology that he's completely disconnected from his family at the dinner table?

Can you imagine a future with smart-grid solar-powered glass roads that provide power to neighboring infrastructure and recharge your electric cars?

I hope I live forever.
