Ill post a .893 exploit for rooting an permaroot in the same thread as the fxz file but u have to put the forever root hack in before up grade to .902 and to give u guys an idea of a time line i started work a 7 pm pacific time an recieved the update as i was driving to work an wont be off at the latest 3 am an i half to create 2 fxz files one for the people that updated from .893 to. 901 and another one from .901 to .902 then test flash both of them atleast 4 times each to make sure the work properly so approximately about 6 hrs of work they should be done an uploaded not later than 6 pm pacific time today an if i come across a delay i will let you know an i do apologize for amy inconvience this may cause

People have already uploaded the updates to .902. There is one from people coming from .893 and the leaked .901. All you guys have to do is forever root using one of the available methods and then update to .902. The threads are around guys.

Not knocking your efforts or anything but in case you didn't know that those that are on 901 can upgrade to 902 through the posted zip file in another thread. I was on 901 that I installed and was forever rooted. I downloaded the mentioned zip for users on 901, installed and maintained root. Now on 902 and only took about 15 minutes. http://www.droidforums.net/forum/showthread.php?p=2005512 here's the thread, post #38 for the link. Instructions are a few posts after that.

The fxz file is only for those who lost root during the update or bricked there phone while on. 902 not for update purposes

Good to see someone is working on a new root method. My wife's phone lost root with the update.

Yes. Just forever root .893 and then update :p

Unfortunately I did not maintain root. I assumed I had forever root because Last update I performed I maintained root.. Appparently i did not have forever root. Or did something wrong.. Both are highly possible.

So there is no going back to .893 for me. Hopeful someone will release a root method for .902!!

Are your apps frozen? Unfreeze them and try to update
