WTH is the point of the soak then?

When they release the test software it is supposed to be for specific IEMI numbers. It seems like every time there is a test, a few people that were not selected for the test receive a notification to install. It's just a glitch in the system.

I've seen them decide just to go ahead and push it to everyone and skip the planned soak test as well though.

Well I will not be downloading and installing it until I know for sure that I can retain root. I just paid 20 bucks to get root and flashed a pre rooted and wireless tether hacked ROM so that I could use my wireless tether with my unlimited data. I'm not about to give it up that fast.

So far so good for me. Installed the OTA from the guys website and worked like a charm. Seems much snappier. I did not do a FDR or cache yet as I haven't needed to.
