I live just outside Fresno California, which is a 4g location, however I only get 1bar 4g and that's only when I don't touch my phone. The second I start to do anything it changes to two bars of 3g.

I'm on cm7 the mr1 version. Could the mr1 radio have anyhing to do with it? I want a mr2 or 2.5 radio but I heard that's a good way to brick your TB and I don't want to unless is 100% necessary?

Will it help with reception?

And what's the difference between a 2 and 2.5 radio?

It has helped my 3g reception, don't know about 4g, but it wouldn't hurt to try it. mr2 is the radio for froyo, and I believe the only difference between it and 2.5 is gingerbread support.
