4g issue on d4

having very spotty 4g white icon on my wifes phone, while my bionic is a constant 4g blue icon... cant seem to get a good internet signal, not sure why. Is there a baseband update or something anyone knows about?

will rooting with dan rosenbergs rooting aplication update to the .902? or is that outdated from what originally comes from the d4? thanks

I'm pretty sure someone would've mentioned an update of some kind by now. Additionally, all rooting does is add an app and a few system folders to allow root access. It doesn't affect connectivity AFAIK.
