3g issue

Never had problems with my Droid x until today......before when I turned wifi on the 3g symbol disappear now they both show up...but anyway my 3g will work for 5 minutes then it wont respond i have to turn my phone off and on.....when its in wifi it wont do that ...only in 3g.........
