3.0.0 to 2.5.0 Phone.apk Swap Question

I seem to keep going back & forth between 2.5 & 3.0, each has things the other does not have that I like.

The one thing I like better in 3.0 is the phone dialer, would the phon dialer from 3.0 work in 2.5 if I swap out bot the phone & phoneconfig.apk's or would the 3.0 apk's cause conflict in 2.5?

You could always give it a shot, just make sure to backup 2.5 and 3.0 in stable states before you do it.

The dialer used in UD is just the Cytown Phone app from XDA:

Modified Phone.apk v30.1, vibrate, black list, eclair, froyo, etc.(0708)

Just D/L the Froyo one to use it on 2.5, it should work.

I think the only difference is that BD themed the one for 2.5, but didn't theme the one for GB. I know Cytown has a GB version on his GitHub, so I don't think copying the 3.0 phone.apk to 2.5 will work.

I was going to pull the phone & phoneconfig.apks from UD 3 & make an update.zip & flash it that way into 2.5...thanks for ur input.
