*228 Software Update

When I dial *228 from my LG Lucid for the latest update, I get a pop-up saying "A Verizon Wireless SIM card has activated your service and updated your phone's roaming capabilities." I thought this was the standard Verizon update phone #. Am I confused or doing something wrong?

You don't need to dial *228 on a 4g phone. That's for 3g only.

In the 4G LTE world to do the same as *228 just reboot your phone.
