ok all,
Ive searched and now getting a headache, lol
question 1- I got a text with a picture, how do I save the pic, then save it as a caller ID ?
2- same basic think got a mp3 text (ringtone) cant figure out how to save it, then save as caller ringtone...

Ive searched, maybe Im using the wrong search terms, any help would be appreciated.
Ric

EDIT, this is a DROID 2 if it matters

For the pic you can just long press it in the message and a menu will pop up with an option to save. Then to set it as a caller id just open that pic in the gallery and hit the menu button and then hit more and set as and there will be an option for contact id.

just figured that out, lol now trying to figure out the ringtone thing, lol

Thankx for that fast reply :icon_ banana:

As for the ringtone thing I think the same method to save the mp3 and then I use ringdroid in the marketplace, you can use it to trim the audio clip if you need to and then save it as either a ringtone or a notification tone.

Save the mp3 the same way you saved the pic.
Open the music app, find the song, press and hold. A menu comes up asking if you want to save as phone's ringtone.

thats what I was doing wrong,,, I wasnt using the music app....
you guys ROCK,,,, thanks so much for the fast replies

ok, I cant find the answer to this...

Ive sent myself an email (gmail) with an attachment, a ringtone, when I open it on the droid2, it says "preview" i click that, and cant figure out how to save the file, so I can have that as my notification ringtone.
