2.10.605.1. Downgrade help

I flashed with the HTC ruu program about three days ago and reposed I downloaded the wrong update and I can't find a root procedure or anyway to get back to 2.2. Would anyone be so helpful as to give me a hint or link on how to get this done. Because the bootloader is locked and I'm new to rooting the thunderbolt I came from the droidx. Thanks so much guys and gals

let me say this a little better. im on 2.3.4 and i want to get back to 2.2. can anyone help me here or am i screwed till a root procedure comes out.
