NON - ROOTED Tbolt stuck in BOOTLOOP? Help Please

I have a friends HTC Thunderbolt, who knows nothing about rooting (so he says) I was looking at the phone and it doesn't seem to be. When it's powered on it goes to the HTC boot screen and the bootloops for ever. Won't turn on fully. I can access hboot, but it's locked. Also when i select IMAGE SRC is say WRONG IMG/NO IMG Found....

Help?

It will do the same thing when i select recovery. bootloops nonstop. The sd card was currupted when i took it out idk if that would affect it or not. Whats with these posts about pg05IMG.zip? would that be a possible issue ? I get a msg saying "IMG non found or missing"

Hey I have the tbolt also If you have the issue I believe you do unfortunately you have very few options. If the phone is powerimg om to HTC flash screen then dumping and restarting then you have the same issue I had also. For me this meant the OS was corrupted. So unfortunately you will likely have tp take it tp Verizon have them check it out. They will send you out a new phone. Along with a box to send the bad one back. Sorry to hear but on plus side i have never had the issue again after the sent out new phone. Hope this helps sorry for the news homie!
