2.1 to 2.2 help

I have an X. 2.1, and trying my best to load OTA 2.2 update. I had deleted some bloatware, but got it all back and reinstalled it with Root Explorer. I had downloaded Rom Manager, but never really used it for anything, but have deleted it as well. I did use Androot to root and unroot the phone. The phone always says unable to update with out any explanation. Any guess as to why I cant update?

If you had ROM Manager installed, you likely had Koush bootstrap as well. It needs to be removed before OTA will work.
