16 gig internal storage?

Don't be angry... Be informed...
The 16g were divided up into; 4g system, 4g apps & 8g user storage
. Some believe this is so that it complies with the structure setup for ICS (ice cream sandwich) allowing for a smoother transition/upgrade.

LOL...Not really angry. Just wondered where my storage was. I can understand the way it is and why it is divided. Thanks.

It's actually 8 gig system dedicated memory and 8 gig user dedicated.

Actually the correct, and more specific, answer was given in post #3 above: 4GB/4GB/8GB.

I don't believe that's correct. The 8 gig user useable part of the internal storage is not partitioned. I could be wrong, but am pretty sure it isn't.

Well I know for the D3 you have 2GB of the 16 internal for apps. As it stands right now it shows 11GB left for storage on mine so i'm guessing its not partitioned 4/4/8. That is if its like the D3.

Yes, and yes. Yes it IS how the internal storage is broken down. And yes, you're correct that the 8GB user portion (the "media area" ) is not further partitioned.
