EDIT: It's impossible. T-Mobile has two different bands that they operate on. Wind only has one. The band they operate on is not supported by the Chipset. Good luck trying to resell this phone. Or better yet, Don't Buy it.

Hello. Thanks for taking the time to read this. One of the reasons I bought the droid 4 is because it is great to see so many devs backing it.

I'm in a bit of a pickle. I had seen that the Droid 4 was GSM unlocked after installing the ICS patch. I also saw that the Chip was capable of connecting to the t-Mobile network, yet was locked from accessing the USA Carriers because of Corporate shenanigans.

However, I live in Canada and have a Wind Mobile Account. They use the same band as T-Mobile so I assume that the phone is compatible with it but why is it locked?

I am willing to do a LOT of work to get this working. All I need is someone to point me in the right direction.

Safestrapping a Kexec rom? Using a Radiocomm hack? Soldering a new radio? Trying to unlock the bootloader?

There is literally nothing I won't try, so please help me with your ideas.

I know as far as proof goes it's not great, but it gives me hope.
