So far the best i've gotten was 1480. Will try a few more time, will also try from work, which is basically in the middle of nowhere. :)

EDIT: Make that 1655.

ehh i like to be on wifi that way when im on the phone i can still send and recieve data...

im on the phone ALOT so it helps... i use close to 3000 minutes a month.

That's alot of minutes, maybe verizon should start the minute donation module, allowing users to donate minutes to others ;). I keep a 900 min plan and rarely sure more then 500.

Houston Tx.

For the most part inside my house is horrible. Phone will even drop out of 3g now and then. 200-900 down. With the average being 500-700. There is one corner of my bedroom though that averages 1200-1700. I did see a spike of 2200-2300 though.

I was close to the big airport here the other day and was seeing 3200-3300!!

My upload is what shocks me the most, I'm in rural ohio and get around 1500 down, but I get over 800k upload every single time! 800k! My DSL has way less than that

Using the Speedtest.net app in Coeur d'Alene, ID in a 4 story building.

A. Ping: 171ms - Download: 1224kbps - Upload: 750kbps
B. Ping: 172ms - Download: 1122kbps - Upload: 844kbps
C. Ping: 169ms - Download: 1422kbps - Upload: 774kbps

Pretty damn good if I say so myself! I love my Droid!

1,000 here in Philadelphia.

this just further goes to prove my point earlier in another post.. why even bother with Wifi when 3g is so fast?

(sorry, I'm kind of a newb when it comes to wifi so I'm not sure if there is some hidden benefit)

-Wil
For me, WiFi is almost 3x as fast as 3G. I am getting 1170 over 3G and 3253 over WiFi according to speedtest.net. The upload speeds aren't quite as different, but WiFi is almost twice as fast there, too. 1000 kbps vs. 600.

I suspect I am quite far from any cell towers, though I don't know how to find out for sure. My 3G at home flickers in and out, and I live way within a military base that I'm pretty sure hasn't rented out any of its towers to the cell industry.

Anyway, for me, WiFi is technically speedier.

from the speedtest.net app

download: 1146 kbps
upload: 846 kbps

I guess not to bad. But actually faster than my DSL. I guess I don't have to bother to use WiFi at my house. Or get faster WiFi.
