Here are some I found very useful...

Appbrain - This app allows you to surf the app store from your PC. It keeps a current list of all the apps on your Droid. Comes in handy if you replace your phone with another Android phone.

Mobile Defense - This allows you to lock a lost phone from a web browser. You can see on a map where the phone is located if it's stolen or lost. You can also turn on alarm to find the phone that slipped into the couch cushions. Soon you'll be able to wipe it remotely.

ShapeWriter - A very nice keyboard replacement with swipe capability.

PDAnet - A tethering program that allows you to use the phone as an air card for your laptop or desktop.

Urbanspoon and Yelp - To find food, shopping, hotels, etc. easily.

Touchdown - If you need to connect to a corporate Exchange server there is none better.

Android Agenda Widget - Much better calendar than stock IMO. Plus, it's free!

Beautiful Widgets - Paid app, but very nice clock/weather widget. Skinnable.

Astrid - To Do list with Deadline Alerts

Astro - File browser

Blackmoon Attach Save - Let's you download attachments from Gmail emails and save to sd card.

Games:

HomerunBattle 3D - Very nice homerun derby type game ($4.99)
Caligo Chaser - Action RPG (on sale for $2.99 right now)
Word Mix Lite - Similar to TextTwist or WordWarp (Free)
WordUp! - Basically the same thing as Boggle (Free)

Fancy Widget or Weather Forecast 12.1 - Clock and weather widget all in one.
Pandora - Streaming radio.
Battery Indicator - Status bar battery indicator as opposed to adding a widget taking up space.
Shapewriter - Swype like keyboard.
Skyfire - Browser with Flash support. (not really flash support, but will play flash)
Astro - File Manager.
Advanced Task Killer/Cleaner - Get rid of memeory/tasks. (speed up phone)
DailyRoads Voyager - Record driving trips for those moments you tell yourself, "I wish I had a video camera."

Well, his profile says Motorola Droid, and I didn't see Incredible anywhere in the OP...

Layar -- augmented reality browser.
TripIt for organizing travel itineraries.
I like the idea behind KeyRing, but I did not have success with it at the grocery store the other night...
MathDoku is a good time waster.
Barcode Scanner for checking prices when you're in a store.
DailyStrip for comics.

Scanner Radio:
I have been a Police/Fire enthusiast since being a kid

Aloqa:,
WHERE: (two separate apps providing same info)
It tells me weather/news/logging/restaurants/movies and more These Apps looks to give you this info were you are!

Advanced Task Killer:
I use this app when I will be on battery for an extended time period and I shut unneeded Apps or Apps that had not shut off since its use. (it really works to cut your battery consumption)

Google Voice: (must apply for number)
you can lower your incoming/outgoing calls as well as SMS/Txt and either lower your plan or not be surcharged for over plan use! Its a PC App as well with a lot of features take a look >> Google Voice

Weather Bug Elite:,
AccuWeather.com:
Phone friendly weather/forecasts/radars from home area or current local

Battery Graph:
This App shows in graph form your Battery status even how long it takes to charge the Battery
