I'm wondering if eFuse can be turned on/off via OTA.

.
That is a good question, but I would suspect that it can not be. If it could, then obviously there is a way to override it.

Other than a potential way to crack it, even if it could be done via a OTA, it won't matter. Motorola is not going to change their policy.

As someone that was looking to switch to Verizon for the Droid X this issue is slowing that process. not certain how often I would want to root the phone , but Im not fond of being stuck on an older OS when Motorola decides to stop updating the device.

If I do switch and dont get the X , i would be loking at the Droid for close to the same price as the new phone :(

I never heard of eFuse until I read a couple of articles at another website.

I'm wondering if eFuse can be turned on/off via OTA.

.

from what i understand, it is a hardware component, not software. eFuse is put directly on the computer chip in the phone. but i did read that if the eFuse is tripped, it can be reversed. But i'm not too sure.
