Glad to be here, now that I'm sporting a SGS4... I want one of these. I have a BT watch but it's VERY simple, only time and Caller ID. Still, it's great for the purpose intended. I'd love to have the additional usable functionality that this device offers.

Only problem I see (and an insurmountably huge one at that), is making it "device-specific". They'd do FAR BETTER in sales if it were supported out of the gate with an Android plug-in app for all major phones. Then anyone with an Android phone could install the supporting app and begin using it.

I don't completely understand how it works off the network and takes calls from your phone.....does that mean that the gear and the phone are assigned to the same phone number??.....smh.....please excuse my ignorance :-/

I believe you can have a separate mobile account or pair it with your phone.

Once I figure out how to do that I'll be another step closer to doing away with my phone line.

What does your phone line have to do with posting pics from your phone?

Opera Mini doesn't allow upload of photos on my watch, therefore to upload photos while out on the water I still need the data connection of my phone. Overseas you can use multiple SIM cards with 1 phone number so add on data plans for watches aren't a necessity. If I can figure a way to make my watch as standalone capable as my phone why pay for both lines?
Years ago an app called Splashtop was a go between for tablets and laptops but now we have the Surface that does both in 1 package. Small thinking, why bother, it can't be done, etc, would've never allowed that to happen.
