Started my road trip today. Waze has been very cranky. Keeps saying redirecting and white screen. I've cleared cache and data. Also uninstalled and reinstalled. Google maps didn't have any issues and I had perfect signal, ran a few speed tests. Anyone else having issues? It has worked flawlessly around town for me.

They posted an update today in the Play store. Did this happen before or after?

Late to the party, but I still just use Google Maps for navigating and it got us to Kansas and back as well as directing us to different places while we were down there with no problems whatsoever.

I like Waze for the notifications which gmaps doesn't have. I didn't have any other issues after it finally GPS locked.

Didn't Google buy Waze? I get notifications from Gmaps when there's construction, traffic jams, accidents, etc. and I've kinda assumed that that info comes from Waze users for quite a while, since I heard a long time ago that Google snapped them up.

Google did buy them. Gmaps doesn't have speedtraps, slow downs, objects in road or side of road.

If you haven't tried Waze you may not realize what you're missing. Not all the features have been incorporated into GMaps, yet.

Good to know, though on those long trips, the most I do is around 5 over specifically because I'm not aware of speedtraps and etc. I might have to give Waze a try next time I travel.
