Total Noob when it comes to using roms. Help please?

Ok, so I rooted my d4 to have su on it so I could employ roms. Now, ive found that I want to use gummy1.0, but, I dontwhere to put it after ive downloaded it onto my computer, on to my phone. Ive read stuff like flashing the phone and outher stuff, which I have no idea what that is. Im not tech illiterate, I just dont know how to proceed, without destroying my decive. Can anyone explain to me to process to use gummy1.0 ics rom on my droid 4 after its already been rooted with su?
