I want to tether my X to the WII console without the mobile hotspot app or rooting. How can I do this? I do have the paid version of Easytether.

I'm pretty sure you can't do this. You either have to pay and use the mobile hotspot or root and use Wireless Tether. You can't connect to the Wii via USB and use Easytether.

On easytether's site, it says I can tether to a computer and then connect the computer to the wii.

A quick Google search of "easytether wii" brings this process up:

You can tether PS3, XBox and even Wii using EasyTether and Windows ICS (Internet Connection Sharing).
How to tether PS3/XBox/Wii:
1. Enable ICS in the Sharing tab of the EasyTether network adapter properties (on your Windows machine).
2. Connect Wii/PS3/XBox to your PC using an Ethernet cable.
3. Enable UDP passthrough in EasyTether on your smartphone.
4. Enable EasyTether connection on your PC.

Appreciate it. I'll try it. What speed is minimum for online gaming? Just did a test and its 2 mbps downlad and .5 mbps upload with 322 ms ping. This is in an ok spot in the house, so I should be able to increase it.
