Telus not registering to network

hey wise people!!

I just got a Milestone Telus, cause it supposedly worked with 850 3g speeds, but i just get EDGE and not 3G, because supposedly it cant register to the network


PS: I have it unlocked using it on Costa Rica with ICE

Is there a way to make it register????
or
What am i doing wrong???

I have the same problem- I can only connect with the GSM line at 850 and the download speed is unbearably slow. There is a milestone now being sold here in Costa Rica, but why does it work and mine doesn't (a mqv7 from Europe)?
