Sd card not recognized (becomes read only)

My sd card randomly cuts out during usage. I'll just be going fine then suddenly I can no longer download anything our move files. It always gives an error that the file system is read only.

What's going on? The only way to fix it is to remove the sd card and put it back in every time it happens.

Make sure your SD card doesn't have a physical lock option on the card itself. If it does, it'll be like a little black switch that can be moved back & forth. If it doesn't, you're probably going to have to format the card. Backup your data from it, then go to the app drawer, then settings, then SD card & phone storage, then tap unmount SD card, then hit format SD card, then mount it again and see if that fixes it.
