Screen lock

I have a stock DROIDX and the screen lock (slide left to right) is gone! Unless I enter a passcode, etc. Help! What happened?

On my Bionic there are some settings in Locations & Security for changing to a password protected unlock. It sounds like some of that has been activated. If you don't have the password, I've read of people getting into the phone by accepting a call and then pressing the home key.

Actually no. My screen lock just disappeared ...unless I go to security & add a pin, etc. When I hit the power button it goes straight to.my home screen. ???
