In settings I Can turn haptic feedback off but its still on in various apps like Tapatalk.

Like to schedule it on during day and off at night to be quite as the haptec feedback makes a slight noise that can wake people.

Any ideas?

I turn mine all the way off when I get a new phone. One of the first things I do. Once it's off, I don't ever notice it on in other apps, especially tapatalk. Are you sure you're turning it off in the correct place(s)?

Still, if you want to manually schedule it to be on sometimes and off others, I would suggest Tasker, like @Mustang02 said, or maybe IFTTT. (If This Then That)

Never specifically heard of anyone doing THIS before though, so it may take some extra work and there may not even be an option to toggle that in those apps, but they're where I'd start.

From Tasker website:

Haptic Feedback

Change the global system haptic feedback setting (found in Android Sound settings).

Tasker: Action A-Z

Now I'm not sure if root or not is required. Let me install tasker and find out.

No joy on the 6P. I can't find anything that would do what you're looking for. There is a root shell script that can be run though.

App: Spare Parts. Easy to do.
Never mind. Thought you were talking about turning it off.
