    For anyone with linux experience:

I've been able to sbf with ubuntu (via virtual box on a mac) on my old D2, but now I have a D2G, and I just can't make it work anymore.
I do everything the same, but I always get a "unexpected EOF" error. I've tried both sbf files, older and 330, and it's the same for both.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I looked at something similar before, but I wasn't aware that they had one for the global! I'll try this out, thanks for letting me know.

“Unexpected EOF” means the file is truncated.

You know, I don't think I ever unzipped the sbf file. All this update.zip stuff has me confused. I'll bet that's it.

I ended up using the linux boot cd iso that was recommended by tgambitg, which worked flawlessly. I'm now running rooted GB on my D2G. Thanks for all the help!
