As for the US variants of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus they will likely be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. The Snapdragon 835 will provide a boost in performance and battery efficiency. Samsung has also just announced the Exynos 9 Series 8895 which will almost certainly be featured in the international variants of the devices.

The Exynos 9 is the first chip to be built on the 10nm FinFET process technology. This allows for 27% higher performance while consuming 40% less power than the previous gen processors built on 14nm technology. The processor will also include an embeded gigabit LTE modem that supports five carrier aggregation. It can support 1Gbps downlink and 150Mbps uplink. This is an octa-core processor and has some special tweaks built in for 3D graphic performance and minimized latency for 4K UHD VR and gaming experiences. This processor is looking pretty amazing.
