Quick Glance not showing emails?

When I use Quick glance it shows missed calls and the battery level, but shows 0 emails even though the led is blinking there's unread email. I'm using Gmail, not the stock app - is that the problem or is there something else going on?

Thanks.

Sally I think you are right in that Gmail doesn't show up in quick glance, which is interesting. I don't know if there is a setting that would allow it to. I do know that it does show the number of emails received on my Yahoo account.

Well that's a bummer! I was reading here something similar about Air Jump ("Air Jump allows you to scroll through emails or browser pages just by a simple gesture. While this is another great feature, it only works when using the official email client, as well as the official browser on the phone.") and Air Browse (" A bit more reliable, but once again only works with the official Samsung apps.")

Being a Chrome & Gmail person means I might as well turn these features off and save my battery.

I'm not sure where I read this but I believe it's been like that for a while when Google changed the way app developers can access some of Gmail API that relates to notification.

I'm a chrome and Gmail person also. I decided to add a yahoo account so that it would come to the phone. Also I've found that the stock browser isn't too bad.

When you say "add a yahoo account," do you mean you've given up on Gmail? Or do you link them somehow?

Oh no, haven't given up on Gmail. I have certain emails that I now have come to the yahoo account, some that come to both and others that only go to the Gmail account.
