Am definately not a techie..have never owned a smart phone...but I have an account with Etrade (which I like) thru Verizon and I like to trade options.
After looking at several different smart phones..I decided on the Motorola Droid 2.1 because of the faster browser.
Here's my question:
Is there a big diference between the Etrade Mobile Pro vs. just going on line?
Would I be better off with a Blackberry that does have the Mobile Pro App.
even thought the browser is slower?
Would appreciate any and all feed back.
This may be of some interest to those who do trade with Etrade. I called the tech desk this morning and asked a few questions.
1. I was told...there are no present plans to provide a Mobile App for the Droid 2.1
2. If I want to trade with the Motorola Droid...I have to use wireless.etrade.com..
which makes the "Market Caster" available. "Market Trader" and "Power E-Trade".
are only available with the Mobile App.
3. The tech guy had a Droid (not the 2.1) and a Blackberry Tour with him at work...
when he used the Droid...it definately had less information available than when he
went thru the mobile app. on the Blackberry Tour.
4. I aske him which phones were the ones he knew to be used the most with the
etrade app. (with Verizon)...he said number one is the Blackberry Tour and next the
Blackberry Curve.
So, I don't think the Motorola Droid is going to do the job for me.
Anyone have any thoughts on the matter....concerning the use of the Mobile App. with
Verizon?
