New Safety Check feature

I tried the new Safety Check feature.....and nothing happened on the other phones. I tried with my wife's phone checked and then my daughter's phone checked. Both are marked as an Emergency Contact and they never received an alert that I turned on Safety Check or an alert when I didn't respond to my phone asking if I was OK at the end of the Safety Check time. Maybe there is something on the Google server side that hasn't been flipped on yet since this just rolled out today?
