New HTC Aero Images Look Like an iPhone Clone

If these latest "leaked" images of the HTC Aero are real, then it looks like HTC may have finally "jumped the shark" and "nuked the fridge." From peering at these pics, you can't help but be struck by their remarkable similarity to that "fruity" smartphone that "shall not be named."

All "Voldemort = iPhone" jokes aside, it's obvious from the shape and the pin-striping on the back that HTC is basically aping the iPhone 6 design. One could argue that HTC's design characteristics have had this similar look and shape for some time, and you would be right. Regardless, you can bet money that that the general public will not perceive it this way.

Oh, how the once mighty HTC has fallen...

*Aside - Also, what is up with these weird color names? Cast Iron? Acid Gold? I think the folks in the HTC marketing department need to lay off of that latter one...

Dead give away is the the camera placement and no ring circle. Honestly its to the point where most if not all phones are just giant rectangles made of plastic or metal. Motorola is one of the few that seems to like to kick the habit with that. Also Acid Gold for the win.

It doesn't look much different than the current HTC M8/M9. If they flatten the back it would have looked like an iDevice anyway.
