Lock screen doesn't come on anymore

i dont know why. i had to dl a lock app just so my phone would lock while it's in my pocket so i dont accidentally call ppl. anyone else having this problem? i've pulled the battery and everything.

so if your phone turns on, you don't get a lock screen? were you messing with root and/or the lock pattern?

a factory reset should take care of your problem.

no i haven't done anything with root and i've never used a lock pattern. i think i'll lose all my settings if i do a factory reset so i'll just live with the new lock app. thanks tho

you'll lose your custom settings, but you'll get your wifi, bookmarks, apps, contacts, email back.

it's not that big of a pain. having a lock screen that works is important.

Did you install an alternative home app? (ie home++, Panda Home, aHome, etc)

What else have you installed?

There has to be something that broke the screen lock.

i haven't changed anything in a few weeks. i use gde and have been for some time. i did put try some new apps but i've deleted them. alauncher, beautiful widgets, mountUSB. still didn't get it back. this just started yesterday.

i'd be willing to bet it's an app that's your problem.

boot in safe mode and report back.
