Fans of the LG Optimus G Pro who were hoping for a follow-up will not be disappointed. LG themselves officially announced that the LG G Pro 2 will be coming in February. Although they didn't offer a specific date or place, we suspect they will hold their own press event at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The didn't offer any specific details on the new flagship phablet, but it is safe to assume we will see some big improvements over the last one.

If we were to speculate, the following specs might show up in this device:
  • 5.7-Inch Display (possible a 2K display)
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 or better processor (maybe the newer 805 - although a custom LG chip isn't out of the question either)
  • 3GB RAM
  • 16MP Camera
  • 32GB Storage
  • 3,250 mAh battery
The pic above is of the original Optimus G Pro. More than likely the new one won't be dramatically different than the last. It's possible this new one will sport a rear power button like their LG G2. Of course, we will keep an eye out in February for all the relevant details.
