LauncherPro running Update Service

So I been checking my running services since moving back to LauncherPro (paid) from an ADW binge. And I notice LauncherPro is running a large service called UpdaterService for 16GB! What the hell man!

I think I saw somewhere that it was for the twitter widget but I am not even running the widgets. I force close it but in a few hours it just shows back up. Now launcher pro seems to be hogging up more of my battery than I previously recall.

What the hell!

Anyone know how to kick this service to the curb?

Is there a difference in that is you keep LP in memory as opposed to not keeping launcher in memory? I would first mess with those settings adn see if it makes a difference.

Menu, Preferences, General settings and you'll see keep in memory option.

Well I do not have that option checked because I do not want anything LP related in my memory, which is exactly the issue I have with this UpdateService in my memory.

Also, I just tried turning on the put LauncherPro in memory and the UpdateService jumped up to use another 10GB so it's now using 26GB lol.
