From what I've read it sounds like you can set up swipe actions for the dock icons. I see how to do that, but how (and where) do you define an action? For example, how do I add a swipe action to my gmail icon to compose a new message?

Thanks!

I might be ignorant, but I think your are refering to the scrollable dock?

You can scroll the dock left and right.

If there is something about defining swype actions, I am not aware.

It's a way to define a second activity for an icon in the scrollable dock. Main activity - click. Second activity - swipe up on the icon.

I finally found it via google:

Swipe gesture action, Launch Shortcut, Activities, Gmail
Now I'm off to set activities for everything else :)

Nice! Now I can double up the Dial an Contacts. I'll also experiment with a few other options. Thanks.

Well that should count as my something new every day. I can take a nap now.

It's great because it's like having a 30-icon dock.

I've been trying to combine them into relative pairs:

[Phone/SMS]
[Browser/Voice Search]
[Gmail/Google Voice]
[AppBrain/Market]
[Tasker/Battery Use]
[SetCPU/Watchdog]
[Note Everything Pro/Astrid]
[Google Listen/Music]

It's a little difficult to remember all of the gesture associations I made... but I'm guessing it'll get better over time.
