Hey, I ordered my phone a month ago and it finally showed up in the mail today. It is a whole new world for me and while I am having a lot of fun, I am also overwhelmed; some of the factory apps really bug me, such as Stocks, Flickr, Twitter, etc. and I want them gone! But I'm not very good with some of the steps involved in doing that (what is rooting? i have to use a terminal emulator? AAH!) and I'm afraid I may never get rid of these darn apps!

If anyone has advice or info, I would love to hear it! Right now I'm just looking for some good free apps to download, and trying to clean up some of the excess junk that comes on the phone.
