It is still unclear if we will be able to unlock the bootloader of the Droid DNA via the HTC Dev site. Some sources in the know are now saying that the DNA will come with a pretty tight chastity belt. That being said there are some DNAs in the wild that have unlocked bootloaders right now via the HTC dev site. So for now we just can't be sure if we will still be able to unlock at root.

All of that being said we now have an all-in-one toolkit prior to the release of the phone! If we are able to obtain bootloader unlock via HTC dev we will be able to use this toolkit to permanently root the device, flash a custom recovery (CWM, TWRP, or your own recovery), flash custom kernels, Do adb commands (Boot into bootloader, boot into recovery, reboot phone, relock bootloader), Open Useful links, and a few extras.

Keep in mind that this toolkit relys on the ability to first unlock the phone via HTC Dev. If we can't do that at release as it has been reported this toolkit may be useless to us as it in itself does not unlock the bootloader. Here is to hoping.
