How to transfer photos/music from PC to new Droid X

I just got a new Droid X. Never had a smart phone before. I connected the USB cable to my PC to transfer photos and songs to my Droid but I keep getting a message saying no device driver found, add memory card ?? I then talked to Verizon and they said click on settings/applications/development and then turn onUSB debugging and stay awake - but that doesn't work either. What to do?

Do you get the two little icons that pop up in your notification area at the top of the phone?

download the drivers from here
USB and PC Charging Drivers - Motorola Mobility, Inc. USA

after that, make sure USB Storage Mode is the method you select when plugging the phone in to your pc.

download the drivers . . .

You may have to restart your pc for the drivers to take effect.
