How do you clear phone favorites

If you click bottom left phone icon, then you swipe to the left, it will take you to FAVORITES. How did it pick these numbers as "favorites" and how do you clear them?

Mine shows people that I actually marked as favorites. Then below that it has frequently called ..


To remove a favorite all I do is:
Click on the contact, look in upper right corner, press the white star...

From within the contacts list (People) you can also long press the contact and click "Remove from favorites" ... but both ways work.

How to remove a contact for Favorites

In your contact list, not favorites list, find the contact you want to remove from Favorites. Place finger on contact and hold until a group of choices pops up. One of the choices is "Remove from Favorites".
