Hey, got a d2g for christmas and like it for the most part. This is my first smartphone. Came from an Alias lol. As soon as I got used to it I dove straight into rooting and was disappointed with the lack of roms. Currently running fission with the blackout theme.

Welcome to the forums. With the Droid 2 no longer being sold through Verizon, maybe the D2G users will start getting some more Rom-loving from developers.

Welcome! Good to have you with us. Have you checked the Droid 2 sections? There are seven different roms available for the D2.
