Hello everyone at DroidForums.
I have finally made the switch to the Android world. My previous smartphones have been Blackberries :blackberry: (8130 & 9630) and decided to take a leap for something different.....:greendroid:
I came across a good deal for a 3rd party Motorola Droid, so jumped on it and am seeing how the OS will work for me. As far as rooting goes, I have all the files downloaded to root and install CM6, just haven't had the time to do it yet. I am thinking tomorrow may be the time for the switch.
Another reason for getting the Droid was due to the encrypted bootloader of the Droid X. My upgrade for VZW has been for about 6-7 months, but decided to go with the 3rd party purchase. As many have said, there will always be something new out on the future, and this is a test device for me. I like having the ability to install themes, ROMs, kernels, etc, and the ability to control MY phone.
