I see everyone talking about this "handcent" used for texting. Cam someone please fill me in on where to find it please, I am new to droid and still learning the ropes! Thanks!

Perfect, I found it. Oops I didn't even know u could search there! So I downloaded the "SMS" app do I need the others too? And am I. Able to just get one message somehow, since there is already a messaging system in the phone I am getting the same text twice!

You can't disable or uninstall the native messaging app. What you can do though is disable all of its notifications.
