The above video truly exemplifies the great lengths that Google's Street View team will go to in order to "map the world." They actually road a camel across United Arab Emirates’ desert of Liwa, to give us their version of the "street view." Now, if Google Maps could evolve enough to help you navigate the shifting sands of the desert, that would truly be something amazing!

Of all the bizarre things Google has ever done, I think this rates #1 on the "WHY would you bother doing this? scale. What's next, Google Maps: Watching Paint Dry?

Odd? yeah
Awesome? Absofreakinlutely! clearly they are trying to map the world, and they are going to great lengths to do it. Because we all know making a wrong turn, or being stuck in a camel-jam in the desert is no fun!
