We know how you love a good benchmark, so we took the just released Motorola Droid 4 through it's paces on Quadrant Standard and AnTuTu. The handset pulled numbers that are to be expected with a top tier phone of these specs. Despite "good", "bad" or " average" numbers the real test is how the device stands up in real world use. The Droid 4 delivers a very solid experience and is very fast in my experience. You can even throw live wallpapers on the handset and notice very little performance degradation.

Quadrant Standard Score:
  • 2571
AnTuTu:
  • RAM: 834
  • CPU Integer: 1663
  • CPU Float Point: 1330
  • 2D Graphics: 293
  • 3D Graphics: 1202

Once Motorola (or a dev) releases ICS for the D4 I think it's going to be the best phone to have. I just can't convince myself to give up ICS to gain a keyboard, as much as I love keyboards.

For anyone curious about a Galaxy Nexus comparison, (GummyNex 0.7.6, OC'd 1.35Ghz InteractiveX governer)
RAM: 1196
CPU Integer:1919
CPU Float point:1521
2D Graphics: 282
3D Graphics:1204
I find it interesting that their 2D/3D scores are so close. And again, My CPU is overclocked to 1.35Ghz.

The graphics uses the same GPU in all the OMAP 4 phones such as the GN.

Were you high when you made this video? :p

I ask because the entire Quadrant benchmark is portrait, yet you insisted on holding the phone in landscape mode *LMAO*

Hahahah ...naw man. Funny story behind that. We didn't have our camera in the office and had to make due. The original footage is in portrait. Problem is my mug was in the shot/reflection the whole time lol. Its called improvise and overcome :) so I had to reshoot in landscape.

Just tested mine (using 0.7.6 gummynex, and franco's most recent nightly kernel, overclocked to 1.35 ghz on francogazelle setting)
RAM: 1187
CPU Integer:1915
CPU Float point:1492
2D Graphics: 286
3D Graphics:1227

overall: 6941

Tested again on the performance setting instead of francogazelle and got:
RAM: 1217
CPU Integer:1946
CPU Float point:1521
2D Graphics: 288
3D Graphics:1228

overall: 7093

How does that compare to the Droid 3.
I have a Droid 2 Global and would like to see the numbers on that.
