I've not seen that pop up but did you check in Samsung apps if there was update

I agree, I think you have an app that is no longer compatible with the lastest update. if you have the app that was previously mentioned, you may need to provide feedback to the app creator if it is not updated soon.

But I swipe over tells me there is an update first pic and circled then I tap that and takes me here (second pic) and then I get the previous message and this one. (3rd pic )

have you ever had it or any similar ones installed? did you do the update? check your folders using the file manager and see if you have a similar folder?

you can also try deleting your cache. copied and pasted the following from verizon. it will worked with most service providers.

  1. From a Home screen, touch and swipe up or down to display all apps.
    linote.gif
These instructions apply to Standard mode only.
  2. From a Home screen, navigate: Settings
    apps_settings_icon.gif
    > Storage
    storage_icon.gif
    .
  3. Tap Cached data.
  4. Tap CLEAR.

I had an app like that I think but not on this phone uninstalled it along time ago.

And I don't have that choice on my At&t version only storage selection I have is In the device maintenance and there isn't any thing about clearing the cache.

did you follow the instructions exactly? should be no difference in the settings because it has the same os. anyway, another way to go about it is to go into recovery mode and delete the cache partition. it should be rid of the leftovers from the old install and maybe get rid of the notification.

going by your screen copy, go down to device maintenance and see where it says storage. click on device maintenance then click on storage.

Is it the app cache that it clears? Cause after digging I found where to clear all app cache? And won't that mess up my apps sign in stuff?

No. It just gets rid of all the apps' residual file garbage. Sign in's will be fine.

I also found out that what we think is an app is actually something to do with the edge screen and errors relating to this sometimes have to do with the edge screen theme. I'm not familiar with using an edge screen but if there is an option to select a theme for it, see what happens if you select a different theme.
